@owen Yeah, that's how they do it. But how would you do it? What color is B minor? E major?
@owen Also, you can include grey to fill out the primary/secondary sextet if you need seven.
@owen So, what color are the notes?
@owen Exactly. I love seven because it is the oddest of the odd numbers, but that's what makes it so hard to work with.
@owen I also like that NBC uses a six color rainbow, which is appropriate. Supposedly Newton forced seven (indigo? really?) because of his deep religiosity and the positive significance of 7 and negative connotation of 6 in Christianity.
@owen Not to be too much the company stooge, but I've always appreciated the NBC colors and how (Hofstader warning) they seem like the "same" shade of each color.
@owen Eww
@owen Very interesting font. lots of intriguing details - the enormous slabs, the energetic r, the sleepy a. There's a nice tension between solidness and slipperiness. Or whatever fontographers call it.
@owen Oh, man, that looks good. How long did you cook it?
@ChrisFerris Fine with me
@owen This is a great mono font. You're right, generally used versions look a little archaic - either the typewriter family or those OCR fonts. This is a nice clean modern version that's easy on the eyes. Nicely done.
@owen Beautiful and heartbreaking. It brings me right back to your first day of school ever, and how I had to close the door to my edit bay at PieTown because I couldn't stop crying.
@owen Woo-hoo! That's so awesome! Congratulations.
@owen Rise.
@owen It's beautiful, but sad. Like the rest of the album. I do like the faster version a bit better as I can hold the words in my head more easily and it's not quite so despondent. Rather abrupt ending.
@owen @Baba I think this would make a good opener. Nice to start with an upbeat tune with ambiguous intent. I think "nobody cares about you" is simultaneously one of the best and one of the worst sentiments. While it points out your insignificance in the greater scheme, it is also enormously freeing. I think that balance seems to be a lot of the theme of the album so far and it's a good way in.
Finally trying to get in the spirit of the season. Not all Christmas music is bad - just most of it - and here's some of my favorite. Wish we can listen to it together. Instead, we can listen to it apart, I suppose.
Cheers!
