Also on Bainbridge Island we went to the art museum where they were showing the work of two artists who work with cement. It was not all my sort of thing but i loved this one. The tree is cement and is set in a pool of water. The top is holding all sorts of growing plants and somehow there is a water system that causes tiny drops of water to fall continuously from the plants into the water, making a lovely peaceful sound.

This is our friend, Debbie, who was visiting for a few days from Florida. While here we took her to Bainbridge Island and had lunch at the fish and chips place where we always seem to end up.

Our friend Debbie is visiting us for awhile and she and Frank went to the Pike Market yesterday and she brought these glorious flowers home. Photos don’t do them justice.

Celebrating at our old haunt “The Deluxe”. Happy Memorial Day all. I’m

A sweet cream with vanilla bean caramel and a chocolate Birthday cake ice cream in a waffle cone. Heaven!

Grampy is at it again. Rack of lamb with broccoli and baby potatoes. Super yum!

University Village on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Trophy Cupcakes has soft ice cream now!!

Leo, is there something to eat that sounds a little like “Dvorak”? I loved it, especially with yogurt and sugar.

We went out for Happy Hour last night. Chicken wings, fish and chips, chopped salad. All yummy. Grampy had a beer and I had a whiskey sour. Such fun to get slightly blitzed before 6:00!

We also had Arancini, pork over polenta, Panzanella salad, rapini, and a fabulous Tiramisu, which was my contribution. You may have guessed the theme was Italy. There were eight of us, we started with cheeses, salami, Prosecco and moved on to wine and Limoncello. It was a fab feast with delightful people and it lasted for four hours. I am still recovering two days later!

Grampy’s whole wheat pitas puffing up in the stove. Delicious.

Some of these places must have been so elegant and gracious in their past. What is that beautiful building that you say you like? I love the car photos. What is surprising to me is the lack of people in these pictures. Is that how it looks most of the time? I love seeing these.

Once in a great while we go to Petit Pierre for a special coffee treat. Today mine was a strawberry Cruffin filled with custard and smooshed strawberries topped with cream! We are now lying down trying to recover.

We were inspired by the Bostonians’Lasagna soup so Grampy made it tonight. Delish!
