@B yeah might be interesting to collect different rainbows... Already have Tony's

going through some 1800s songs and this one is definitely a contender for sketchiest cover page

I'm making a collection of color pallets for school.

Here is what I have so far... Send me pics of things that you think are interesting color pallets so I can include them.

love you

posted a song yesterday but I was crying in the recording not the best for getting an accurate sense of the song in some ways so here's a marginally better recording.

Also "I'm crying in the recording" is a content warning, it's supposed to warn you about how intense the post is. Click "show more" to see the actual content of my post.

Much love

I'm crying in this recording

mom tells me that this song isn't working and is doing that thing where it's all static and electronic sounding so here's a link to it for proper listening.

I'm crying in this recording

sometimes it feels as though to be alive in this world is to be at war. Every day you have to get up and fight for a cause (a better world, your own right to exist and love). It's a nobel war, but while in the trenches you never get a moment's rest. This is a song to my brave little soldier boy. I wish he could put his gun down but I know he can't.

A parrot whose beak was bright yellow,
Used to call about with a mighty bellow,
“I bought a new gun,
Bang, bang, oh what fun!"
And they shook like a bowl full of jello

There once was a lonely magician,
Who wasn’t that good with addition,
But they loved to cook,
By hook or by crook,
And that was his favorite position.

I once saw a girl in a hat,
On which a frog had sat,
He let out a croak,
“This must be a joke”
He fell off his perch with a splat.

There once was a boy who made bagels,
Whose dialectics were just like George Hegel’s,
He uttered a word,
And the big yellow bird,
Spread them out across the tables

There once was a small dog named Rey,
who got into trouble each day,
He took a big swig,
And put on his wig,
The house is still in disarray

There once was a guy from Alaska,
On whose head was an antimacasser,
And pulling it off,
To the sound of a cough,
Which caused her to fly all the way to Nebraska

@Leo these are great! Maybe we should do a family zoom writing game!

They were making fun of me because I was eating mashed potatoes and was apparently chewing a lot. That inspired a debate about whether boxed mashed potatoes are a symptom of american poor taste and laziness or something to be celebrated because the development of shelf stable food is a necessary step in industrialization which culminated in debating whether or not powdered mashed potatoes lead to the moon landing. Love those guys

as a side note. I love how unapologetically political the type design hangout thing is. You'd think most of our conversation would be about kerning or something but it's like "all cops are bastards! The global south is locked out of graphic design due to imperialism and racism! Capitalism and weird libertarians are corrupting open source fonts! Oh yeah speaking of fonts check out this humanist sans I'm working on"

just had the type friday meeting with everyone and showed them the font. They only had nice things to say very complimentary. Good feeling!
